I studied accounting at Ibero Torreon. Overall my experience was a great one, filled with many rewarding experiences led by amazing teachers and surrounded by life time friends. Yes, there were some instances were the school could’ve given more, classes were I felt I wasted time or moments the administration did not step up enough to meet my standards. However, I feel this made for the perfect combination to create the opportunity for the student to fill in those gaps, extracurricular activities or an internship to make up for those lacking classes, to have to confront situations were not everything is granted to you and the only resource available is yourself. There might not be a lot of career options, but I believe this makes the school more focused in making the careers they do have more rich. There are some incredible teachers and since the school is located in a small city, many professors may one day become coworkers or bosses. Overall I would give the school four stars, since there is definitely room for improvement in some areas, but the ratio between what you pay and what you get is amazing, worth every penny you pay.
I really liked my degree, although obviously some relevant subjects were needed for the best development of it, since it would be complemented in different work areas to the daily ones. Another thing that I liked is the facilities (except classrooms) because it felt very cool due to the number of trees there were. Likewise, I emphasize that the classes are taught by the teacher and not by the student through presentations, which greatly helps learning.
I’d recommend it because the student life experience is awesome but the overall academic level can be classified as lackluster at least. Serms to me student programs are scheduled to last longer that they should, topics that could be learned in two weeks are programmed for the whole semester leaving me with a pretty underwhelming expierence.
I believe that the Ibero-American university can offer more quality in terms of its study program, one that is more up-to-date in accordance with what the current world demands of us, I also considered that it can better train the coordinators in charge of the careers since its reputation can give for more.
The schools installations are great, they have everything needed to keep a good environment to study and enables students to participate in extracurricular activities, such as sports, conferences and student teams. Overall the classes were pretty good, teachers were prepared and dominate the field they teach, although the pandemic did make some classes boring. My classmates were great to work with and team work is something that is always encouraged, which helped when starting internships and social work. I would definitely recommend the Universidad Iberoamericana
When I entered the university I thought it would be of excellent quality but being there I realized that many teachers are excellent but others are also very bad, although we talked with the coordinators who did little to solve the problems that were presented. Also, another thing that I did not like was that in the linked projects that the school assigned to its students there was money that was paid to the school, the tuition is very expensive and they also benefited from our work.
I left very preparedly from there, but nevertheless, I would not study there again.
I love my University, but not for its name or reputation, is for the people, teachers, the way of thinking, its philosophy, etc. I adquiere a lot of knowledge for my professional and personal life. One of the greatest choices I had made.
