To be honest, I quite enjoyed my time studying here. The lecturers are very helpful and friendly. I don’t think I’ve ever met even 1 lecturer or supporting staff that is unfriendly or rude. However, I was disappointed with their promises. I think this is quite a common problemissue when we are talking about Universities. Some actually do deliver their promises while others simply just promise you the moon and the stars and simply failed at delivering it. When I just started my Foundation here, they told all students that whoever got at least Dean’s list (3.5 CGPA) they will be eligible for a full scholarship to pursue Bachelor’s Degree in the programs offered at DRB HICOM University. So I worked super hard and finally I got a CGPA of 3.96 (out of 4.00). Surprisingly, they told me that I can’t get the scholarship. They told us that due to Covid-19, their funding is in the red thus, they aren’t able to give out scholarships as promised. Furious, my father called the top managements and after some discussions the university eventually gave up. Me and some of my friends with high pointers like mine only got a 50% discount.
In a nutshell, the staff and lecturers are very friendly, nice and is willing to listen to the student’s problems. However, if they promised you anything make sure you be careful first and do not put too much hope in it. I did enjoyed my time there though, their hostelaccommodations really need some refurbishing and such. Despite all that, I give it 3.85 stars in possibility of recommending it to others.
