The University experience was very good overall, considering the country has limited financial resources. The Faculty of Electrical Engineering provided me with very good resilience, logical thinking and problem-solving skills that I easily now implement in my career. The programs were limited and not up to date with advanced tech knowledge. Student projects were not common, therefore the level of knowledge gained could have been better.
The University has many student organizations which provide opportunities for students to go to international workshops, exchange programs, and internships, and that is a very good benefit overall that adds to the traditional learning.
View moreMy university is in Skopje, I live in Sveti Nikole. When I started, the amphitheatres were really cold, the food and drinks were really expensive, the toilets were old and didn’t have soaps or paper, I went to school by bus. I had classes Monday to Thursday, about 4 hours, Fridays were always free on Iustinianus Primula. It would be better if we had mid exams, we only have final exams and it’s really hard to focus and pass all classes.
View moreAs a sophomore who has only attended university online, I can only share opinions on the efficiency of the online exam submission and how the university chose to execute it. the biggest problem is the fact that we are required to chose and submit the information about the subjects we want online and also have to physically go and fill in paperwork (which we have to buy with our own money) wait in line for hours to submit papers with the same regurgitated information that is already online.
View moreIn general, both the classes and the program are at a very low level far from the world standards for university education. No working conditions, the semester fees at least at this faculty are too high. I honestly think it is worth learning about this profession because it is prosperous, but the university education in our country is I can say horrible.
View moreIn general, the program lacks interaction, critical thinking, problem-solving and practical use of the learned material. The classes are held only online since COVID started. But even when it wasn’t online, the classes weren’t motivating us to critically think about the given topics.
We are given 1 thesis to write per subject. when it comes to the presentations we are doing on a certain topic, we never receive feedback. We are just doing them for points.
So I would say that the whole program isn’t based on knowledge as much as it is based on passing the subject and getting a grade so students can graduate.
The program also lacks internships. We are not given any extracurricular activities, nor an opportunity to have an internship.
Processes that enable us to plan, focus attention and encouraged us to think functionally and practically. Give us life skills, but ultimately prepare us for a career and great discipline in work. It also focuses our attention on emerging issues that direct future research and practice.
View moreMy name is David and I have just graduated as an Economist at the Faculty of Economics in Skopje at the Department of Management.
From my experience at our faculty in Skopje, I can share many advantages as well as disadvantages. One of the advantages of our lectures is the interaction that students have with the professors. In each lecture, all students are involved in the subject that is taught as much as the professors and that is the main reason how I gained this knowledge that I have, but on the other hand, one of the main disadvantages is the deficit of practical work at this faculty. I think that the most efficient way to learn is through the practical work that I had very little at my faculty.
Moreover, the campus is connected to other faculties of the university and I had the opportunity to meet people from other fields and in that way we exchanged different experiences.
Finally, I would like to share that I had a wonderful experience at this faculty, and as a recent graduate, I am considering enrolling in a master’s degree.
View moreOverall a very good faculty. Teachers are very experienced and trained. The programme is compliant with ECTS, so it is very easy to transfer to any suitable university abroad. Regarding the accommodation, there are no dedicated premises within the faculty.
