This is supposed to be the best University in North Macedonia, but it is very average compared to universities abroad in Europe. Having had the chance to study for a semester in the university in Krakow, I can clearly tell a difference. The Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje is falling behind with the teaching methodologies and lack interactive approach of the material unites. There are some new, young, professors that are implementing more diverse teaching methods, but it is still far from enough.
The facilities in the buildings are mostly a bit old, but they serve their job. What is a great minus is that if you study Medicine, Pharmacology or something more practical, the laboratories to practice are insufficient and always lacking equipment.
The city itself does not offer special life for students by discounts, social programs etc., but a great advantage is that you can have free public transport 365 days of the year is you are full-time student. It is also a big plus that the tuition fee is only 200 euro per year, which is still relatively cheap even tho the country itself is generally not expensive for living.
