The situation of the faculty it’s okay. The students can be part of NGOs, where they can learn topics that are not in relation with this faculty. Lessons are okay, and the faculty did a good job with the transition from classes in campus to full online classes. Also the programs are old and need to be improved.

The program is rich with all sorts of possibilities that would help you throughout your career and your life. It gives the students to show their talents and their potentials to make the best of themselves.

UKIM – SS. Cyril and Methodius is one of the state universities in Macedonia. It has a lot of various faculties and offers a broad choice of courses and degrees for students. The university’s campus is spread across the whole capital Skopje. I study on the technical campus of the university and it is in a very good position and the campus itself is really great and modern-like. The professors are all with a lot of experience and they offer great knowledge and help all the time to the students. My experience so far is very good and I’m happy to study in this university.

I attend the faculty for computer science and engineering, the biggest faculty in the whole country. Yet, we do not have a building. How is that even possible? We have to share building with other faculties and hold our lessons in makeshift/temporary buildings (which we have been using for over 10 years, not really temporary).

The best, highest quality and most renowned university in the country. A university that offers multiple student programs. Professors are quality academics who have vast knowledge in their field and use world literature in the transfer of knowledge. UKIM cooperates with student organizations, as well as with international organizations and various other collaborations. Through them, the doors are opened for the students after graduation.

I especially like the opportunities for students to activate themselves in student NGOs dealing with all sorts of topics. The quality of the delivered lessons is pretty good, the best in the country, but when compared to international standards it is more like mediocre. The programs are usually directed to more general knowledge of the topics instead of very specific knowledge which can make you a specialist. Also, the facilities aren’t in the best shape but some of the laboratories are well equipped.

During these online times all of the faculties have adjusted in their own ways so there’s not much that can be said about the adjustment of the University as a whole.

It’s the best university in Macedonia, but I would not recommend it, especially if you can afford studies in another country. Our faculty do not have a building and faculties with very few students got their own building.

I like the faculty there are plenty of different courses that you can take by free choice, that gives you the freedom to explore different fields and technologies that are from most of interest to you. But still there are some problems like: coordination, lack of rooms for exams, a lot of students in small classrooms…
I have to say that the professors and the team of the faculty are very transparent and polite, and there is zero nationality discrimination which is not a case to other faculties.

I study computer science at the Faculty of computer science and engineering. The best thing about this faculty for me are the professors who have a lot of experience and knowledge. Some of the courses are a bit outdated, but they teach you the basics that will need in order to learn how to work in the more modern programming languages. We have a lot of students, so the professors can’t focus a lot on every individual student, but you will always have student colleagues that will be there to help you and guide you through your student life

The university provides good foundation in terms of classes and internships. The best thing about this university is the student life and projects that you can take part in. Overall they have good programs and experienced professors in their field of work.
