I enjoy studying in KTU every day, as it gave me possibility to learn and communicate with a lot of different people from different countries and gain new experience from new activities in classes. The labs here are gods, the equipment is highly cost and it is also maintained pretty well.
View moreMost of the teachers are quite friendly and talkative, but some of them struggle to speak English. The system itself is quite strict and not very easy, but retakes and course prices are not very high. The course provides much needed information and practice for students studying in different study programs. Exact and IT sciences are particularly good, they are quite sure to secure a job after graduation.
View moreI thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kaunas University of Technology. The diverse and engaging curriculum provided a solid foundation in my field, and the supportive faculty fostered a positive learning environment. The campus facilities were modern, and the international community added a valuable cultural dimension to my studies. Overall, KTU offered a well-rounded education and a memorable university journey
View moreWhen I first came across my program I was enthralled to say the least. I was ecstatic by the different imaginings of what I was to study. Unfortunately this far it hasn’t been exactly what I pictured. Which is normal I believe. But however I would like it to be a bit more detail. I major in engineering, specifically Mechatronics Engineering and unfortunately this far we haven’t gone into the depths of engineering my peers at other universities have. The testing system feels weak or a bit too easy for lack of a better word. Most teachers are not as fluent or confident in English as they should be. But there are some real gems of Professors who will guide, and nurture you completely and I’m grateful to have encountered them. I’m grateful for a mixed class ie. Both Lithuanians and Internationals as we exchange cultures and it helped me settle down immensely. Finding communities on organisations like the one I joined, AIESEC KTU, also was a step in establishing me as a person. The library has become my favorite space and I truly believe KTU gives you all the best tools they can, but you have to learn to make the masterpiece, sometimes by yourself. The dormitories are another story. But it’s refreshing that they have began to seriously renovate them.
View moreThere were a lot of group projects with other students who were less motivated to study. A big part of the teachers were lacking in their English skills. Too few courses focused on problem-solving tasks, they’d rather rely on theory based learning and examination
View moreIn the course that I took, 60% of the students should have failed from the first year. The only reason these people that do not know basic maths passed in an engineering course is because of the lecturer’s leniency. During tests, the lecturers would not give that much attention to cheating. Even if someone would be caught cheating, there have been cases where they were allowed to just finish the test. The worst thing they would have to do is they would have to retake the test. Other than that, lovely university.
View moreKaunas University of Technology has many academic and extracurricular clubs and activities where one can grow personally and meet new people. These opportunities are great for someone wanting to start a career in an international setting.
View moreI admire the heartwarming atmosphere KTU provides, with a warm welcome from the moment you step into the university for the first time and a consistent support you get as you go through your studies. I also like the fact how KTU provides students of all faculties with a plenty of opportunities to improve themselves and even receive various scholarships as they do so throughout their studies. Though it’s really hard to point out on something bad about KTU, I would like to add that it would be better if more flexibility on changing/deciding on a major was provided, for the first year students especially, as it is quite difficult to know what you want to major in for sure before you start your studies. If there was a chance to decide on what we actually want to major in in the first 1/2 months, without losing the scholarships, it would be great. To summarize, again, KTU has that amazing atmosphere and a number of valuable chances that you feel belonged like nowhere else!
View moreKaunas University of Technology provides lectures that are not solely theoretical, they are grounded in today’s real-world problems and technologies. I have found that professors are always ready to offer help and guidance, so it’s essential to ask the questions you have.
The University offers ED programs such as GIFTed, SKILLed, GUIDed, that extend beyond the boundaries of study majors. These programs help to grow not only as professional but also as well-rounded individual.
Another significant advantage is the convenience of the student campus. It is strategically located, allowing to easily navigate the various faculties and the dormitory on foot.
Kaunas University is a good university over all, it has several programs to choose from, you can choose to study either in Lithuanian or in English, you can participate in various programs such as Erasmus, internships, exchange
Also you can get several scholarships depending on your study program
