When I first arrived at Riga Technical University, I wasn’t totally sure what to expect—but it’s honestly been a really good experience so far. The university is in a calm, smaller town, which surprised me at first, but I’ve actually grown to enjoy the quiet. It helps me concentrate, and everything feels less overwhelming.As a freshman, I really value how flexible the learning schedule is. Being able to choose between attending classes in person or online has made it easier to balance my workload and personal time. It definitely takes the pressure off a bit.I’ve noticed there are more study choices for local students, but as an international student, I can see that things are improving. The university feels like it’s actively working to expand its global reach, which is encouraging.One thing I really appreciate is the financial support available—there are scholarships and even regional aid options that can make a big difference if you’re worried about affordability.All in all, I’d say it’s a supportive environment to grow academically and personally. It may not be flashy, but it’s genuinely a good place to learn and feel grounded.

My time at Riga Technical University completely changed me and gave me an understanding of computer science that I can’t put a price on. The program armed me with the programming and management skills I so desperately needed, and it ignited in me a desire to continue learning and growing. Additionally, the opportunity to connect with senior managers and CEOs showed me how powerful professional relationships can be — it truly opened up new opportunities for my personal growth and career path.
