Overall, my experience at this university was positive, but there are areas that could be improved. The professors are knowledgeable and approachable, and the programme provides a solid academic foundation with opportunities to apply theory in practice.
I also appreciated the diverse campus community and the chance to meet people from different backgrounds.
On the other hand, some administrative processes were slow and at times frustrating, which affected the overall experience. Additionally, certain facilities could benefit from modernization.
Despite these challenges, I would still recommend this university because of the quality of education and the supportive learning environment.

The easier of campus life
Classroom environment and campus boundaries favors student experience on campus as well as biggest library
University of Rwanda is a public country’s university where great performers from high school get a government scholarship, research opportunities are available compared to private universities, government scholarships are available as well, but in 3 years i have spent at the university i have seen that there are some limited resources where some departments face equipment shortages which affects students practical learning skills; speaking from experience, student life at the university is so hard because of limited resources which the institution provide( bursary/monthly stipend), extracurricular activities lag far behind. I would not recommend this university to people who can be able to pay for their tuition fees and educational expenses
View moreThe University of Rwanda offers a positive academic environment with dedicated and professional lecturers who explain concepts clearly and support students’ learning. The campus atmosphere is welcoming, with a beautiful natural setting and friendly people that create a strong sense of community. However, one area that needs improvement is the limited access to laboratories and practical classes, which are crucial for hands-on experience, especially in science and engineering programs. Despite this, I would still recommend the University of Rwanda for its quality teaching, supportive environment, and commitment to education. Strengthening practical learning would make it even better.
View moreUniversity of rwanda is one of the best universities in tha country so far and it has the best infrastructure within different campus. So what l like about the university is leadership there are different department within the university of rwanda in huye campus where l am specially studying and each department has its leaders to make it easier to address problems and find solutions immediately and the lectures try their best to explain their lessons very well and in a way everyone understands.
What l dislike about the university is that we don’t get an opportunity to meet and greet the higher official staff so it becomes difficult to address a high problem because we don’t know the highest leader.
I would recommend each and every student that like a large environment and hardworking student to apply not only education there is leisure and students also pray so it’s flexible to join
