My experience at the University of Nairobi has been generally good. One of the things I really appreciate is the opportunities available to students beyond our regular academic work.
I particularly like that the university provides information and opportunities for students to pursue scholarships outside the country, including opportunities to continue their studies at Master’s and PhD level. I find this encouraging because it helps students think about their future beyond their undergraduate studies.
I also appreciate the university’s collaboration with organisations such as Ajira, which come in to educate students and help us develop practical skills needed in the job market. For example, learning about CV creation and other career-related skills is something I find very useful because it prepares students for life after university and helps us understand what employers are looking for.
