But we do have events, just… calmer ones. Think symposiums, cultural days, church-related stuff. If you’re super religious or just someone who likes a structured environment, you’ll thrive. If you’re looking for the classic “campus life” experience with loud hostels and spontaneous chaos, you might feel a bit suffocated. That said, the people here are genuinely nice. Less pretentious than some of the big-name private schools in Nairobi. You make actual friends, not just LinkedIn connections.Look, CUEA isn’t going to top any global rankings anytime soon. It’s not flashy. But if you want a degree that actually means something, in an environment that forces you to focus, it’s a solid choice. The theology and education programs are genuinely respected. The University is good, the compound is very conducive for learning, the library is excellent and you get a lot of opportunities for mooting, competent lecturers and so on. What I did not like was the administrative side in how they engage student issues, there’s definitely room for improvement. Overall, I would encourage someone to study there as its undoubtedly a good university.
