at Mount Kenya University - MKU

As a current MPH student and class representative at MKU, I truly appreciate the dedication of our lecturers. They are consistently present, approachable, and committed to ensuring we fully understand the content—they rarely, if ever, miss a class, and they’re always willing to help beyond lecture hours. This supportive environment has made learning both engaging and manageable.

However, there are challenges, especially with communication and technology. Important updates are sometimes delayed or poorly disseminated, which affects planning and participation. Additionally, occasional system issues (like the e-learning platform or student portal access) can disrupt the learning process.

Overall, the academic support is excellent, but improved communication and tech infrastructure would make the experience even better. Therefore I would highly recommend MKU for everyone since it’s also one of the cheapest universities in Kenya for a masters degree.
