My experience at Kenyatta University was truly life-altering. The university has a good academic base with a wide variety of programs that are well established and thorough. The lecturers are not just experienced and knowledgeable but also committed and ready to do the extra mile to ensure that students grasp their fields of study in depth. I particularly loved the campus life there — from cultural events to clubs and sports, there was much one could grow both in academics as well as social life.
Among the things that I appreciated the most was the fact that the university prioritized research, innovation, and community engagement. It pushed us not only to perform well academically, but also to think critically and implement what we learn in real-life scenarios. The campus itself is beautiful, full of greenery that makes it a pleasant place to study and relax.
Despite all of the above, a few areas of improvement were still needed. Some administrative processes went on too slowly and inter-department communication was frustrating at times. Availability to some amenities like Wi-Fi and current equipment, especially in a few departments, was poorly maintained and updated.
I would recommend Kenyatta University to keep investing in improving its infrastructure and modernizing its systems of administration. More digital services and more innovations by students may make the experience even more great. In all, I would highly recommend Kenyatta University to anyone who wants a well-rounded and empowering tertiary education
