As a growing teacher of English and Literature and an Education reformist, I find Chuka university to be a steadily growing institution that offers solid academic grounding. The lecturers are approachable and committed which creates a supportive learning environment for motivated students. I would recommend it to learners who are focused, self-driven, and ready to make the most of the available opportunities.
View moreThe university itself is somewhat in its infant stage and therefore there are some details about funding that they have not yet been able to iron out. This mostly leads to the poor state of finances being borne by the students. To their credit, the student body is doing a pretty good job at representing the interests of the students but still, more has to be done.
View moreMy experience at Chuka University was overall very positive. The Electrical and Electronics Engineering programme provided a solid balance of theory and practical knowledge, with lecturers who were approachable and genuinely interested in helping students succeed. The university environment encourages discipline and personal growth, and the surrounding area is peaceful — ideal for studying.
One area that could improve is access to more modern lab equipment and expanded internship linkages with industries to give students more hands-on experience. Despite that, Chuka University prepared me well for the professional world, and I appreciate the strong sense of community and academic integrity it upholds.
I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a focused, affordable, and supportive place to study in Kenya.
My experience at Chuka University was really positive because their programme provided a solidbacademic foundation, with lecturers who were knowledgeable and willing to support students both inside and outside the classroom. I also enjoyed the fact that there were many extracurricular activities that exposed me to the real world.
There were areas that could be improved, such as expanding research opportunities, modernizing some facilities, and strengthening career guidance for students.
I would honestly recommend it to students who are seeking quality education.
