One of my favorite experiences was participating in a weekend coding marathon, where I met students from diverse backgrounds and learned so much from their perspectives.
On the downside, the university’s focus on technology can sometimes overshadow other important aspects of student life. For instance, while there are clubs and organizations, they often revolve around tech-related themes, leaving little room for those interested in arts or humanities. Additionally, the campus can feel isolated at times, especially for international students who may struggle to find a sense of belonging.

Studying at Astana IT University has been a dream come true. Beyond its tech reputation, the university fosters a strong sense of community and collaboration. I’ve had the chance to work on interdisciplinary projects that pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me develop new skills. The professors are not just educators but mentors who genuinely care about your success. The campus is modern, and the facilities are top-notch. However, the weather in Nur-Sultan can be harsh, which takes some getting used to. Despite this, the experience has been overwhelmingly positive, and I would highly recommend this university to anyone seeking a supportive and innovative learning environment.

We are well-prepared for the rapidly changing IT industry by the instructors’ encouragement and emphasis on practical skills. Living in Nur-Sultan, previously Astana, gives student life a certain twist. The city offers both contemporary amenities and historical locations to explore, fusing futuristic architecture with a rich cultural legacy. With many startup chances and tech events, the local tech ecosystem is flourishing. Even though winter might be difficult, the city is a great destination to live and study because of its quick development and friendly atmosphere.
