Student review [#82224] for Bachelor of Business

My school is the school in the title in Trinidad and Tobago, but it was not available as an option, that is why i chose the next of kin (UWI Jamaica).
I can find several aspects that stand out positively, but also some areas where improvements could be made.
One of the things I appreciated was the strong sense of community that often comes with smaller institutions. With smaller class sizes, students have more opportunities to interact with their professors and peers, creating a more personalized and supportive learning environment. This can be particularly valuable for students who thrive in close-knit settings and benefit from more direct mentorship.
However, a few challenges could arise as well. Smaller universities can sometimes struggle with global recognition. This could be an issue for students who want to pursue opportunities outside of the Caribbean or continue their studies abroad. The lack of widespread international recognition limits the value of their degree in other countries. Additionally, the resources and facilities at smaller institutions don’t meet expectations. Inadequate libraries, outdated technology, or a lack of extracurricular opportunities hindered my university experience and growth.
If I were to suggest improvements, I would encourage a stronger focus on career development. A dedicated career services team that offers internships, job fairs, and coaching would be a great asset to help students transition smoothly from academic life to professional life. I would also advocate for a more hybrid learning model, offering online or hybrid courses to provide flexibility for students, particularly those who need to balance education with work or family commitments, which is something I saw alot of people struggle with.
