The University of the West Indies, Mona (Western Jamaica Campus) is nestled on the outskirts of the tourist city of Montego Bay, and is a bit of a city of unto itself overlooking the world-famous Sangster International Airport, which is bordered by the Caribbean Sea. Far enough away from the city center to avoid the hassle of traffic but close enough to not make commute a pain, UWI Mona – WJC, is a compact compound filled with its unique landmarks to enrich student experience. The basketball court is centrally positioned on campus, so students are always treated to excellent games, and the classes are stationed in such a way that the beautiful outdoors don’t serve to distract from learning. The staff, from the ever-present on-campus security to the easily-reached lecturers, makes the experience such a smooth one. Everyone and almost everything is reasonably within reach, and students are afforded the room to explore, with wifi available at every point on campus, and study wherever they are most comfortable. Overall, the UWI Mona WJC is an elite experience at every level.
