My university has a lot to offer from logistics to engineering to customs to nautical studies. I like my university because it is the only maritime university in Jamaica or the only university that offers maritime studies.

It is a very displined institution with different personalties however I disliked how sometimes a few lecturers would come to class seeming as if they had no prior knowledge of a topic. I would recommend this university

The focus on the involvement and well-being of students is one of CMU’s best qualities. The great variety of extracurricular activities on offer enables students to pursue their interests and ambitions outside of the classroom. CMU offers plenty of possibilities for students to learn new skills, form connections with others, and make lifelong experiences, whether it is through extracurricular activities, cultural clubs, or community service projects. It is incredibly great that the university is so dedicated to supporting a well-rounded educational experience.

CMU can also be commended for its sincere celebration of student accomplishments. The institution appreciates and respects the efforts, commitment, and successes of its students. This not only raises spirits but also inspires the student body with a sense of pride and drive. CMU is aware that recognizing achievement is essential for encouraging a positive environment, and it excels in this regard. 
CMU faces challenges in effectively communicating with students. Instead of directly addressing issues, it appears that there is a tendency to provide evasive responses or delays, leading to a sense of frustration among students.

I love Caribbean Maritime University. I love the staff, the students and being on campus is definitely an experience. We wear uniforms which is a plus for me. The students look out for each other and I really admire that a lot. We are taught how to resolve conflicts so we rarely have issues with each other.
