My opinion on the University of Siena is that the environment is great to stimulate your academic interests in lots of senses. Firstly, the city itself, which is small but interesting enough to live in as a university student, where the campus extends itself around the whole walled city and historical center of Siena; second, my opinion on the university itself is the best one possible, given the fact that all structures are very well maintained, libraries are often useful resources and well equipped, and teachers can interact and work closely with students and direct contact is very easy; third, as far as my own experience goes on the History and Philosophy masters program, the DSSBC department(Cultural Heritage and Historical Studies department) has a great team of teachers, which are very well prepared academically and have received me as a foreigner student in a warm way, willignly meeting my needs as well as my suggestions on various subjects presented in class.
View moreI am a working student and I enrolled at the University of Siena at the age of 38. Despite the difficulties encountered, putting myself back on the books after so many years and with little time available, I found great availability with the individual professors and with the secretariats. The website and app are clear, intuitive and allow you to quickly find the information you need. The choice of exams for the curriculum is wide and I have found many professors who are passionate about their work. I hope to be able to continue studying here even after graduation.
View moreThe University of Siena is a university that is divided into different areas of the city. My department is located in a former psychiatric hospital, with a particular atmosphere and architectural charm. The classrooms have all the necessary technologies, are well maintained and easily accessible. The professors are competent and available and the subjects covered are coherent and well organized. Siena is a beautiful city, but with little attention to the university student. Rents are not overly expensive but there’s poor nightlife. Another drawback is that UNISI is not very internationalized.
In general, however, my experience is very good, I would recommend the University of Siena to a student who wants to study in a quiet way, in a small and safe city, without neglecting the importance of their education.
The bachelor program was both useful and interesting, teachers belong to a high level. Internationality is a shared value and it gives the opportunity to discover a new ways of doing things. I would do it again.
View moreStudying at the University of Siena was a great experience and an excellent opportunity for educational and personal growth. Well-managed facilities, libraries and study rooms, teachers who are up to par and almost always well-available for clarifications and well-organized internships.
View moreThe course offers a choice of three different curricula: Electronics, Communications or Electromagnetic Fields.
The teachers are helpful and well prepared.
The course is demanding, but it has enabled me to acquire fundamental knowledge and to be contacted by many companies as soon as I graduated.
Good Erasmus projects.
The location is wonderful and located in the city centre.
Interesting subjects and possibility to choose among three different curricula: Electronics, Communications or Electromagnetic Fields.
Available and well-prepared teachers. Classrooms are well organized.
Beautiful location in the city centre.
A historical university that holds its courses in historical places. Needs to be updated in some respects. It is strongly affected by the post-bankruptcy of Monte Dei Paschi but tries to maintain its excellence. I recommend this university because it is above average compared to other Italian schools.
