In my opinion this University, for a person who likes languages, is recommended: there are some good libraries and quite places to study. The teachers are quite available for clarifications and the departments of every language sectors are full of books and researches that are useful for the exams. Unfortunately, the lessons are located in very distant buildings, this causes frequent overlapping lessons. Sometimes the modalities of the exams are not well explained by the teachers.
View moreThe bachelor of computer engineering prepares you for your career, whether it will be a development career or the setting up automated controls of a power plant, i.e. “heavy engineering” applications. The course offers the possibility to specialise in different fields: from robotics to real-time operating systems, according to the interesting path in the master’s degree.
In addition to that, there is a tech community (a student club) where one can improve their side skills beyond the university course; or simply improve what they have learnt during their courses.
View moreBased on my experience (engineering studies) I think that all in all the university is good. In my opinion we should do more practical and not just theoretical things. Furthermore, in some courses the study load should be better organized.
View moreI recommend the University of Genoa because of the opportunities offered by the Institute and the professors. I liked almost every subject I studied, but in my opinion, we needed to spend more time doing practical things and not only theoretical subjects.
View moreIt would take teachers younger and more practical to see what is being studied. In addition, the exam programs are not always the best, especially when compared to exams that can be similar or in which it can serve what has already been studied.
View moreIt’s good enough!
I studied Computer Engineering at the University of Genoa, I think that the university is mostly based on theoretical knowledge more than practice, and these could lead to less experience.
This opinion is inherent the engineering school, in particular about Biomedical engineering. It’s a theoretical University, it could be better with laboratories, and more practical experience. We have a good preparation at the end of the five years, but we need also the practice. The professors are friendly and with a good preparation, we are Lucky to have this University in our town!
