The University of Florence offers a rich educational offering and generally helpful staff, but it also has practical drawbacks. Departments and campuses are often far apart, making daily commuting tiring. The city’s heavy tourism worsens the experience: crowded places and constant bustle make everything more stressful. Administrative offices can be hard to reach or not always available when needed, although many staff members are kind and respond quickly in emergencies. Finally, the criteria for graduation grades do not always seem fair or transparent. In short: good resources and supportive people, but the university needs better organization and clearer procedures.
