La Sapienza is one of the first universities in Europe and is ranked among the first in the world and the first in Italy. I did Erasmus last year at Sapienza and I liked the experience so much that I decided to stay here indefinitely. Teaching and didactics are of excellence and Rome offers an idyllic setting for studying. There are dozens of free libraries and study rooms for students. I am the happiest here at Sapienza and in Italy in general. The Italians and especially the teachers will always be ready to help you in any situation.
View moreI studied cultural mediation at La Sapienza and the quality of the teaching was different depending on the language thought and its relevant department. For example, languages such as French had well-organized schedules, lectures, extracurricular activities, and more; on the contrary, the Portuguese department wasn’t well structured and I had to learn by myself many crucial aspects of the language. Overall, the way exams are handled also requires improvements. Also, the cultural mediation aspect was always left behind. We had very few exams about that, most of the teaching was focused on languages.
