I can only speak about the Department of Languages, based on my personal experience.
Ca’ Foscari is particularly well known for its strong focus on languages and its extremely wide range of academic programmes.
The level required is high and demanding, so students are expected to be committed and work consistently throughout their studies.
When I studied there, around four years ago, there was also an entrance test. This helped ensure that classes had a relatively limited number of students, usually around 20 to 30 at most. In my opinion, this was a great advantage, as it allowed students to build a more direct relationship with their professors and receive a more engaging and personalised learning experience.
