A very beautiful blend of culture and Academics. Good professors and a huge and diverse community of students. I study Statistics and Mathematics, if i would like to be honest about my course, i haven’t found any difficulties yet. But i general if you’re an international student, you might have some difficulties during communication, soprattutto with the locals when you’re doing basic chores and activities.

The academic curriculum is well-structured, offering a strong foundation in both theoretical and applied aspects of statistics. Professors are knowledgeable and approachable, and the department provides access to helpful resources, including statistical software and research support.
What I particularly appreciate is the intellectual environment — there’s a clear focus on developing analytical thinking and practical skills that are relevant to careers in data science, finance, and research. The international reputation of the university also adds weight to the degree, and being in Bologna, a vibrant student city, enhances the academic experience.
However, one downside is the lack of extracurricular activities or university-organized events outside of classes. There are very few initiatives like workshops, networking events, or cultural activities that could help students engage beyond academics. I believe more effort in this area would greatly improve student life and foster a stronger community.
