Galway is a student’s dream city, and NUIG is at its heart. The small class sizes make learning personal—one of my lecturers even took us for coffee to discuss career paths! The library is my second home, but nothing beats a study break at Salthill Promenade, watching the waves crash. The best memory? Joining the Trad Soc (Traditional Music Society) and learning the bodhrán, something I never expected as a computer science student. Galway’s charm, combined with the university’s academic rigor, makes this place magical.
