The Applied Psychology program at University College Cork has had a profound impact on both my personal and professional development. The program played a pivotal role in shaping my professional integrity and instilling in me a deep appreciation for rigorous research. One of the highlights for me personally was engaging with internationally acclaimed researchers, each bringing a diverse range of experiences and expertise that they were always eager to share. The program’s emphasis on research methodology and diversity provided me (and my peers) with a solid foundation in critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
UCC itself offers an exceptional learning environment. Its vibrant atmosphere, combined with landmarks such as the Student Hub, the Boole Library, and the Aula Maxima (Great Hall), perfectly balances modern convenience with a deep sense of history and tradition. Studying at UCC was truly an enriching and inspiring experience – one that will always hold a special place in my heart.
