Students develop strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, which are highly demanded by employers in both the private and the public sector and result in graduates often finding employment in large multinational organizations that offer professional services such as PwC, KPMG and Deloitte. On top of that, established companies around the world offer excellent and well-structured graduate schemes, which help Accounting & Finance graduates to kick-start their careers.
Accounting & Finance degrees are mostly practically oriented. They allow students to put the knowledge and skills they acquire on a daily basis to practice through simulated and real-life business accounts management and work placement opportunities.
Most Accounting & Finance degrees are professionally accredited by professional bodies, such as ACCA, AIA, CIMA, ICAEW and CIPFA, which provides students with the opportunity to become chartered accountants. Students gain professional qualifications in accountancy, which eliminates the need for additional certifications after graduation.
Due to the nature of the Accounting & Finance Degree, which complements business-related subjects, students often have the opportunity to complete a joint honours degree.
An Accounting & Finance degree’s duration varies depending on the country and degree level. My experience at Universitas Brawijaya has been very positive overall. The campus environment is comfortable, the learning facilities are well-equipped, and the lecturers are knowledgeable and approachable whenever students need guidance. The academic system continues to improve each year, making the learning process more relevant to current industry needs.
One of the things I appreciate most is the vibrant student life. There are many organizations and activities that allow students to grow their soft skills and explore their interests. On the other hand, some administrative services could still be improved, especially in terms of speed and clarity of information, but they remain manageable.
Overall, Universitas Brawijaya provides a balanced academic and non-academic experience. I would recommend this university to prospective students who are looking for a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

View moreHi I’m Daffa from University of Brawijaya studying Economics, Finance, and Banking. From my first semester to the current fifth semester studying on University of Brawijaya I’ve met a lot of great community that pushes me to grow. I would say my Faculty provides more than enough needs for student’s education such as comfortable, large, and functional classrooms. One complain that I have is about the lecturers, some lecturers are unreasonably difficult, and that makes students GPAs plummet undeservingly.
