Islamic University of Indonesia usually mentioned as UII is actually the oldest university in Indonesia established by Indonesian founding fathers. Although this university is one of the oldest, since it is a private university, it is not as well known as the top universities in Indonesia, because private universities are often underestimated. This campus is an Islamic campus that has certain activities that support the deepening of the Islamic religion for each student, even so this campus is not only intended for Muslim students, non-Muslims are also very welcome to study here.
What I like from this university are its facilities that really help student, its high service for student needs, its diversity of students who come from all over Indonesia plus there are also many international here, and its various scholarships offer. However, what I don’t like about this university is the lack of ambition to learn and the spirit of competition from students, this is because the stigma of Indonesian society between state and private universities is quite different, they make private campuses a second choice so that those who are quite well achieved are often on state campuses, in fact I feel that private campuses provide services and facilities far better than state campuses.
I recommend this university for anyone, especially for international students because here foreign students are very well served, we have an international affairs office and a unit under it that focuses on cultural learning for international students. besides that, the good facilities and services really support students to achieve their goals, especially for their future careers because we also have UII Career Center which is a career center service owned by Universitas Islam Indonesia and managed by the Directorate of Career and Alumni Development (DPKA). This unit functions as an important bridge to connect graduates with the world of work. Various programs related to career preparation such as career counseling, career mentoring, career seminars, and job fairs are some of the routine agendas.
View moreBeing a student at UII seems to be a matter of prestige because the tuition fees are quite expensive. However, the supporting facilities and teaching materials make the word “price” completely irrelevant. Supporting facilities such as international journals, free accounts to access Microsoft Offices, Spotify, computer lab space and WiFi with fairly fast speeds are provided. Teaching materials are always of international standard with case studies that increase knowledge at every class meeting. It’s not just about learning activities, but facilities to support student creativity such as a podcast room, filming equipment, content studio, and editing software are also provided.

View moreWhat I like from this campus is the environment and the atmosphere. Like the name of the campus, the atmosphere is very Islamic. Lecturers and students apply Islamic values well in maintaining worship and harmony. Good tolerance between tribes because students are from different ethnic groups. Besides that the knowledge that was shared was also updated
