IPB University’s first year students will be given general lessons like in high school. Not only that, we also get lessons that make us think correctly such as logical thinking mathematics lessons, computational thinking, etc. First year students also get seven habits training which is very useful for self-management in the future, not only in college but also in the future after college. I highly recommend going to college especially at IPB University.

As a first-year student at IPB University, I feel genuinely honored to be part of such a progressive and intellectually stimulating academic environment. I was accepted through an achievement-based admission route, which means I did not have to take an entrance test — a reflection of the university’s recognition of my prior academic and leadership accomplishments.

Since the beginning of my journey at IPB, I’ve been fully committed to my learning process. I actively participate in class discussions, absorb insights from my lecturers, and continuously seek out opportunities to apply what I learn. The curriculum at IPB doesn’t merely transfer knowledge — it nurtures critical thinking and encourages students to solve real-world problems.

I’m also a recipient of a scholarship that supports my studies financially. This allows me to focus entirely on academic and personal growth without being burdened by economic concerns. Beyond the classroom, I actively engage in student organizations and social committees. Prior to university, I served as the president of a student organization, which taught me essential leadership and communication skills that I now continue to refine at IPB.

IPB University offers many choice of majors. Many of non-agricultural studies were created after IPB University was dissolved from UI. The improvements and additions create many opportunity to be benefitted from as a student. Faculties and Departments are racing to be the best and offer many high-quality students to continue their educations without worrying about financial problems. While the students were chasing their mayor, the lecturers and professors usually offer them projects to help them learn real things and get more allowance. There are many important experiences and learnings that can be used after the student graduates. Furthermore, many of students were chosen by the university to chase their dream free of tuition fee. The problem that could happen is there might be some professor that won’t let you graduate before helping them finish their project.

PB provides adequate facilities to support education in the field of agribusiness. There are laboratories equipped with the latest technology for data analysis and research, as well as comfortable classrooms. In addition, IPB has experimental land and gardens that can be used for practical activities and research in the field of agribusiness. The IPB library also has an extensive collection, including books, journals, and research reports relevant to agribusiness.
