One of the best universities in Maharashtra, India. I have completed my graduation from the University. Staff is good and helpful. Its one of the largest university with over 5 lac students and 700 affiliated colleges spread across.

Mumbai university is an average uni in india it has a good location and in a good city it is located but the If you have any other alternative to Mumbai University, please take it. I have been a student of Mumbai University of 5 years and I have regretted being a student of the University every day. I have done course under Mumbai University- BCom The university only focuses on mechanical methods of teaching. There is no emphasis on the practical aspects of knowledge, as most of the syllabus taught for most of the courses hardly has any practical significance. The syllabus isn’t even updated regularly.Their website is pathetic. It takes ages to load, and simple things which require 5 mins of your time will take hours to be done. I have my Semester exam in a month, and I’ve been trying to submit one form since the past 4 days, but to no avail. The website is super slow, so good luck filling out exam forms and checking your results.The examination department is also very inefficient. Because of their counting error, I was wrongly declared as “Failed” in one of my my university papers. The revaluation process after that was also very inconvenient, as I had to continuously visit the University Campus in Kalina regularly for 8 months. The people working there are more interested in chatting and wasting time rather than doing actual work. Their entire revaluation process is lengthy and inefficient. I continuously kept going to the campus with no changes in my marks, until one day I decided to stay back the whole day and get the work done from the concerned people. A simple process which hardly took a day took 8 months of my time. It was a realy harrowing experience for me. The people at the University Campus aren’t helpful either.
Overall, the syllabus isn’t exactly great, the exams are hellish, the website is the worst I have ever seen, the revaluation procedure is pathetic, and the University as a whole is highly inefficient. They’re not contributing to education, they’re just selling degrees.

Honestly I expected to learn a lot more than what I did, no one really cared about us students and even though I tried to ask for help often the professors would just disregard me completely only because I had a bad attention.

I would recommend this college mainly for its great events and clubs. The faculty is average. Academics in the college are also average. The student life is good. The campus is not that great but the location is fine.

The university deals with a huge number of the population. Students enrolled into various colleges affiliated to the university is massive. No doubt there is a lack in technology used, but the syllabus for undergraduate courses is vastly covered. The education system is better than others as exams bring in some serious level of learning and implementation.
The final year projects are great to work on.
The key essential element is the vast variety of courses offered across the state of Maharashtra. The faculty in colleges can be upscaled a bit , but they put in 1000% efforts to ensure education and right skills are developed.
Infrastructure of colleges is impressive as colleges house nearly 18000 students into just 7 stories building.

Professional management, good. Curriculum, good track record, innovative ..no doubt it is one of the best in the country and also in Asia. It is a very old university and many eminent people have passed through this university… I am sure in years to come it will reach a new milestone.

MU covers a good syllabus with very good professors.
MU also provides a platform to show your extra talent like dance, music, drama, singing etc. MU arranges special sessions for all these things.
I give 4 star out of 5 because of compulsory attendance.
