Studying at the University was both rewarding and draining. There were moments when the workload seemed less like a challenge and more like a test of endurance. The academic standards were high, it shaped me in meaningful ways, even if the journey itself wasn’t always enjoyable.
View moreI joined the university as it is one of the few in Europe that allowed me to do a bachelors in Engineering in English. I dislike the fact that there’s no extra educational support outside of classes, and the professors usually teach multiple classes and ∴ don’t have the time to be teaching or mentoring out of class times either. I am not too sure how to contact the student union either for extra support. There are no clear course descriptions given at the beginning of the semester so I found myself in shock towards the end when I found out certain assignments or tests were mandatory but it was not mentioned anywhere.
I like that the teaching is in English, and there are so far more written exams rather than oral exams which I think are more fair. The campus is beautiful, well-labelled (on google maps as well) and the classrooms are very easy to find. There are lots of places to study or just sit and hangout with classmates in between classes.
A great university located at the heart of Budapest next to river Danube. Budapest was a very safe place to be as an international student. The university had a lot of very capable professors, at least in civil engineering that i studied.
