Corvinus University of Budapest (CUB) is known for its outstanding Economics and Business programs, which drew me to apply for my master’s degree here. The program, faculty, and staff have exceeded my expectations with their impressive expertise, hands-on approach, and unwavering support, inspiring me to pursue a path in academia. Currently in my 3rd year as a PhD candidate at CUB, the university and my program have provided me with invaluable knowledge and practical skills through engaging research, teaching opportunities, and participation in enriching conferences, continuously improving and developing both my academic and personal abilities. Passionate about the exceptional opportunities that Hungarian and European universities offer, I actively promote my university and other institutions to Filipino students, aiming to raise awareness about the numerous scholarships available to empower aspiring scholars from the Philippines.

Corvinus is one of Hungary’s top universities, and it has many outstanding academics that are passionate about their work. I feel continually stretched and surrounded by sharp minds. As a first-year student at Corvinus, I’ve observed both good and bad things about our study process. There are more than 50 active student clubs and organizations to select from, and student life is also fantastic.

From the gorgeous old building with its high ceiling and great stone walls , and its gates facing the danube and liberty bridge , to the new building with its numerous classes and colorful library . Corvinus university is indeed beautiful
but aesthetics aren’t all what matters , as a first year international relations student at corvinus, I have noticed both positive and negative aspects in our study progeamme and in the university itself
When it comes to my programme, the choice of subjects is rather peculiar , mixing too many disciplines all at once without going in depth in any of them . Which makes them sound like random fillers
The teachers are overall okey , except for some seminar teachers who are also students , and who provide an overall below average level of education and seriousness
With that said , I still find education here to be enjoyable , with all the varities of elective subjects you can choose from , and the new soft skills acquired , as well as the relaxed studying schedules which allow you to join one of the many interesting social clubs the university has to offer
I can see great potential in this university, as a matter of fact , improvement can be noticed on a daily basis , the administration is progressing , the uni is introducing new programmes and teaching methods which will certainly benefit both its reputation and the students who take classes in it
Overall , I would consider it an above average university

Corvinus University of Budapest is a university in Budapest, Hungary. Corvinus University of Budapest is a research university oriented toward education. The overall experience was so good and fun. The faculty, the administration, everything is super nice in this university

Previously studying in the USA, moving to Budapest was a complete culture shock. However, this university offers a vigorous program with ample opportunities for students who want a career in diplomacy and foreign affairs. I feel constantly challenged and surrounded by bright-minded thinkers. Throwing myself into a new country, new culture, and new language has allowed me to truly be immersed in this field of study. While the program is in English, there are ample opportunities for additional foreign language classes. The fact that this university offers scholarships and the base price of tuition is already so low, is an added bonus.

Dedicated teachers for most of the subjects. The student life is good with a lot of opportunities to join colleges for advanced studies. The campus is modern, the main building is especially beautiful, it’s a mix of past and future.

Currently, I am studying Management and Leadership MSc and also doing the CEMS Master’s in International Management double degree programme at Corvinus. The university is one of the best in the field of business/economics in Hungary. There are a lot of excellent professors who are dedicated to teaching. They often invite guest lecturers such as successful entrepreneurs or company directors who talk about their careers and achievements which makes lectures even more interesting. There is also a wide variety of courses you can choose from based on your interests. Most of the seminars require active participation which makes it easier to get engaged in class. However, the courses could be even better if the topics covered in class were more up-to-date and there was more emphasis on gaining practical experience instead of memorizing theoretical facts.

The best part of the university is that it offers a wide range of extracurricular activities. Professional development opportunities are excellent, students can participate in study competitions, join research groups or volunteer as teaching assistants. The university has a lot of connections with foreign universities and provides a lot of opportunities to study abroad. Student life is also great, there are more than 50 active student clubs and organizations you can choose from. Networking is easy through social events and you can make useful connections for your future here. In overall, this university provides a good quality education and an amazing student life – I would recommend it!
