The University of Crete offers a unique academic experience, blending rigorous coursework with a strong cultural and social environment. I study maths, and the program’s structure encourages critical thinking and creativity. The professors are passionate and always open to discussions, making classes engaging. The campus, surrounded by Crete’s natural beauty, provides a peaceful setting for studying and reflection. What I’ve appreciated most is the sense of community among students—there’s always someone ready to help or collaborate. While the public transport system could be better, the university’s vibrant culture and academic quality make it a great choice.

I’ve also liked the knowledge coverage that the studies offer on the subject. The help from the profs is mixed. Some are helpful and nice but many deliver an impersonal way of teaching so students are left filling their blanks by themselves. The organizing of exams could be better if students and profs could find the best dates on the calendar without making it every-day-examine sometimes which can be stressful. Finally, some of the first subjects that you have to take are very crowded and students tend to sit by the back without a seat or being left out.
