A very strong university, with low resources

National Technical University is one of the most famous and prestigious universities in Greece. One could say that it deserves its title.

Most of the professors are dedicated to their classes and want to provide the best possible experiences to their students. They are trying to make their lectures interactive and they manage to provide different projects to make everything clear and maintain a strong connection between the students and the topics. At the same time, the level of the students is quite high which in general helps the professors to take their lectures to the next stage.

Other than that, the university is quite open to providing opportunities to students to make research in our labs, even from the first years of our studies, we have the chance to work closely with very insightful professors.

So, I can say with certainty that I am really satisfied with the academic part of my university.

Some suggestions for improvement I could see are the following:
– Some of the labs are missing needed equipment, or the equipment is quite old.
– The campus in general is not very well preserved.
– The connection with the market is not strong.
– We don’t have many opportunities for development apart from the academic part. (e.g Associations, Lectures, Workshops etc)

Lastly, despite the lack of resources, our university currently is one of the few in Greece that has managed to move every lecture and exam online. There were no delays and our schedule and program was continued like nothing has changed.
