Students (both greek and international) have a great time with activities. ATHENA University includes the HMU, which is well networked and extroverted.
BUT, researchers are subject to the bureaucracy of HMU’s ELKE that controls their montly payments, thus they are not paid reliably and on time. ELKE is a great obstacle for research activities.
I am in my third year of studies in the Department of Social Work at the Hellenic Mediterranean University. The courses are manageable, but I find them to be very theoretical, at least up until the second year. Overall, it is a good school with highly qualified staff, though I believe that the practical component should be strengthened during the early years.
