overall, my experience was a positive one. The lecturers were dedicated, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to helping students succeed. They made learning engaging and were always willing to offer support both in and out of the classroom.
The campus environment was safe, peaceful, and allowed for freedom of movement, which contributed to a comfortable and focused learning experience. The infrastructure was decent and well-maintained, with lecture halls and other facilities being easily accessible. Learning materials were also made available on time, which helped us stay on track academically.
One of the few challenges I encountered was the distance between the school hostel and the lecture halls. It required quite a bit of walking daily, which could be exhausting—especially during early morning or late evening classes. The introduction of a shuttle service for students would be a great improvement.
Despite this, my time at the university was fulfilling. I would definitely recommend this institution to others pursuing a career in technical education and more.
View moreSunyani Technical University is a great University one could ever find.
It provides students with hands-on experience needed to fit in the job market. Though the school lacks few facilities and equipments, it still provides the best skills to students.
I therefore recommend this school to everyone who seeks to be equiped with knowledge and skills to consider STU.
I am currently reading hospital and management at the Sunyani technical university. The programme is designed in such a way that students life on campus and academics match perfectly.
The university has good facilities. There are enough lecture halls and we do not have clashes in lectures because of insufficient lecture halls. The libraries are also equipped with enough books and stationery to serve the students populace.
However, the school lacks accommodation. Students find it very difficult to get hostels and when you finally found it is on the high price.
Lastly, there are few to little shuttle service on campus. Most of the time we have to walk about 3 kilometres from our hostels to lectures and this is really tiring.
Going forward I hope the university looks into these challenges and help find a lasting solution
School life is a mixture of academic and social life, but the university focuses more on students’ academic life than their social life.
There is a high rate of discipline on campus. Even though students and staff have a good relationship staff of the university especially lecturers do not entertain any form of indiscipline from students.
However, accommodation is a very challenge for freshmen and continuing students. The university has very few hall rooms to accommodate students and when a student finally gets one outside campus the price is very expensive.
The university has flexible lecture sessions for students. This can be attributed to the lack of lecture theatres on campus. Students don’t turn up for lectures.
However, the school has been able to blend online classes with physical lectures so that students do not miss lectures because of the insufficient lecture theatres.
Also, libraries are always opened and running 24/7 to serve the students populace.
I wish the tuition fee could be revised to make run for most under privileged students to make installments.
