KNUST is arguably the best university for studing hard science in Ghana.
One dislike would be that the focus, at my tenure in the school, on social sciences was low. There was no Psychology course in the school.
I did like how intensive my course, Geography and Rural Development, was though.
The campus arrangement was another plus.
I like this school very much because of the discipline level here and yes, I will recommend it to everyone out there because this school is simply the best. I like everything about this school except for the fact that, they like sacking students from the school as soon as school is on vacation
View moreKNUST like I always say is the best and would always remain the best university in Ghana. The top of the art ultra modern lecture rooms to the hostel facilities are top-notch and very conducive for learning. The students on campus are friendly and open to help anytime, any day.
One thing I love is the diversity and inclusivity in/of the the school; regardless of who you are an where you from, the school welcomes you.
Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is a leading institution in Ghana known for its strong focus on science, technology, and innovation. The university offers a wide range of programs in engineering, the sciences, business, arts, and other disciplines. KNUST has a reputation for academic excellence and research prowess, attracting students not only from Ghana but also from across the African continent and beyond. The university’s campus is known for its modern facilities, including well-equipped laboratories, libraries, and recreational spaces, providing a conducive environment for both learning and extracurricular activities. KNUST also prides itself on its strong industry partnerships, which provide students with valuable practical experience and internship opportunities. One potential challenge at KNUST is the issue of overcrowding, particularly in lecture halls and limited housing facilities, which can impact the overall student experience.
View moreKNUST is one place i would recommend for anyone looking for a great school to continue his or her academics. The lectures are very patient with students and every year we have quite a good number of Valedictorians which shows how good the university is. The university accepts international students and everyone is so welcoming that, no one is left alone in this amazing place.

I like the fact that they are always willing to be innovative and considerate when it comes to the wellbeing of their students whether academically or otherwise
I dislike the inadequate hostels on campus considering the number of students admitted every year
View moreThe university has a lot of accommodations for both lecturers and students and therefore students do not struggle to attend lecturers. The university is situated in the heart of Kumasi and has modern facilities which facilitate teaching and learning in the school. I would therefore recommend the university to students.

View moreI studied BSc. Natural Resources Management Agroforestry) from 2016-2020. For 2 years, we did general courses from all 5 departments (Wood science & Tech, Agroforestry, Wildlife & Range Mgt, Silviculture & Forest Mgt and Fisheries & Watershed Mgt) as well as some borrowed courses from other colleges. In year 3, you choose your preferred specialization. School was great and we had wonderful lecturers. I enjoyed wood science, courses on soil, courses on plant life and nutrition. I lived outside campus for all four years so very little experience on on-campus life. I always saw KNUST as sort of an advanced SHS😂😂. You need to be ready to learn and go the extra mile. My school in my opinion is definitely up to international standards and the lectures, lecturers and TAs were very helpful. The future looks bright. I would like to venture into research focused on SDG goals 2 and 11. My advice is study people and build solid networks with similar or like minds. Have healthy fun. All the best 🤗🤗
