My first University experience at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) was challenging especially in academics. This was as a result of the academic competitiveness the school offers. As a student, the environment encouraged discipline, independence, and a strong commitment to learning.
One of the things I liked most about the university was the academic structure and quality of teaching. The curriculum was well-organized to include extracurricular activities. There were more emphasis on academic integrity, critical thinking and skills that are essential in the professional world.

I enjoyed the sense of community, with students from different backgrounds coming together through group studies, student associations, religious groups, and extracurricular activities. The campus itself is serene and conducive to learning, with green spaces that create a calm atmosphere despite academic pressure.
One of the biggest challenges is on-canpus housing and accommodation. The school does not have enough accommodation to accommodate its students and as a result, students are forced to find their own accommodation at a higher cost. And also, the connectivity of lecture theatres are very low. Students have to walk to and fro to attend lectures in the case of having different lectures at different theatres.

Overall, what compells me to choose University of Cape Coast to other universities in Ghana is the academic integrity it offers.

Educational theories on psychomotor, cognition and affirmative domain are taught by teachers who have vast experience in the field of teaching. Theories are used to help students to understand how to manage an institution or organization.

The program offers multiple skills to enable one to fit into society after successful completion. Some students are directly put in the industries to learn how an organisation is managed hence the program prepares the students for the outside industries

The school is known for training teachers in different areas and my area which is managed in education is not an exception. Training teachers is not an easy task yet the university has designed the teacher training program such that the students get practical training in the field to enable them to become successful n their field. Students are often put in different senior high schools to undergo four monthly teacher training program.
