My first University experience at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) was challenging especially in academics. This was as a result of the academic competitiveness the school offers. As a student, the environment encouraged discipline, independence, and a strong commitment to learning.
One of the things I liked most about the university was the academic structure and quality of teaching. The curriculum was well-organized to include extracurricular activities. There were more emphasis on academic integrity, critical thinking and skills that are essential in the professional world.

I enjoyed the sense of community, with students from different backgrounds coming together through group studies, student associations, religious groups, and extracurricular activities. The campus itself is serene and conducive to learning, with green spaces that create a calm atmosphere despite academic pressure.
One of the biggest challenges is on-canpus housing and accommodation. The school does not have enough accommodation to accommodate its students and as a result, students are forced to find their own accommodation at a higher cost. And also, the connectivity of lecture theatres are very low. Students have to walk to and fro to attend lectures in the case of having different lectures at different theatres.

Overall, what compells me to choose University of Cape Coast to other universities in Ghana is the academic integrity it offers.

The school is bent on academic discipline and ensures that it instills same in students who apply to be part of the school’s community. I will recommend this to anyone who want to excel in his/her academic work to consider this school. They have the necessary facilities that will make your stay in the school worth it. The lectures are well trained teachers who are well equipped in their subject areas and ready to thrill you on your academic journey.

they school takes academics seriously. offering pratical lessons for students to fully understand concepts is commendable. each facilitator pays critical attention to courses they deliver. unseriousness with studies is not tolerated by the school.

Well,I must admit that UCC is a very good university with opportunities into the job market and it is of great pleasure to be among the student community pursuing a bachelors degree in information technology

It is one of the Universities that seeks to train and imbibe its learners with the best knowledge and skills necessary for the world of work.
It has its short own shortcomings but it is by far the best University in Ghana.

The university offered a serene and peaceful atmosphere for focused study and personal growth. The lecturers were dedicated as well, they created a great learning experience with a very clear exciting explanations for us. Personally, my experience at the university was a collection of unforgettable memories along with the great networking of friendship in my life.

That said, accommodation and administrative processes can sometimes be challenging, and improvements in these areas would enhance the overall student experience.

Overall, UCC is an excellent choice for students seeking a rigorous and well-rounded university education. Future students should be prepared for a challenging yet rewarding academic journey.

My school is one of the best schools in Ghana and Africa .I love how committed lecturers are to their work and to you as a student , helping you to come out with your best.
However, most of our courses are quite difficult and too bookish . Grading system is also high putting pressure on students

UCC is state owned university which ensures academic standards are apply, taking the well-being of students very serious and creates very conducive learning environment for students.

Generally, I like UCC for the above stated reasons except some exceptions which I think in every human institution like UCC would have.
