When I first joined, I did not fully understand what it meant to study in an environment that genuinely lives by its values, but now I do. Integrity, leadership, and impact are not just buzzwords here. You see them play out in everyday interactions, how students hold each other accountable, and how the faculty engages with us beyond just academics.

One thing I really value is how intentional the community is. There is a strong sense of support from classmates, professors, and even staff. People care. Whether it is group projects, personal challenges, or figuring out what you want to do after school, there is always someone to talk to or something on campus designed to help. The university does a great job balancing academic pressure with wellness. Activities like Wellness Wednesdays and academic breaks make a real difference in how we cope and recharge.

If you are looking for a university experience that goes beyond just getting a degree, one that pushes you to grow, think critically, and lead with purpose, Ashesi is a great place to be. It’s not always easy, but it’s definitely worth it.

Joining the Ashesi community has been one of the most transformative decisions of my life. Academically, as a business student, I entered Ashesi with a strong interest in specializing in marketing. However, I quickly discovered that Ashesi’s unique approach does not focus on specialization. Although I was not very happy about this, looking back, I deeply appreciate this holistic education, as it allowed me to explore a wide range of disciplines, including business, leadership, computer science, and the arts.
Moreover, the university’s diverse environment has allowed me to connect with people from nearly every corner of the world. Through this, I was able to learn new cultures and collaborate with individuals from different backgrounds.

I hold a very high opinion of Ashesi University, a place that not only promotes but also practices values such as integrity, ethical leadership, and entrepreneurship. Unlike many institutions in Ghana that advertise values of integrity but fail to uphold them, Ashesi stands out as a university where these principles are actively instilled and maintained across campus. This is evident in Ashesi’s curriculum and the daily interactions, policies, and support systems that create a genuinely positive community. The leadership here has cultivated an environment where students are encouraged to grow, lead, and remain accountable in ways often missing in educational institutions today.

One of the most impressive aspects of Ashesi is its commitment to student welfare. University life can be challenging, especially with a rigorous academic load, but Ashesi takes student well-being seriously. The welfare committee regularly organises activities to help students de-stress and reconnect, which makes a big difference in managing the demands of university life. For example, Wellness Wednesdays feature enjoyable activities like pottery, painting, candle making, games, and photo booths, creating a retreat-like atmosphere on campus where students can recharge. The school also schedules academic breaks to ensure students aren’t overwhelmed, offering time to relax and find balance. The combination of academic rigour and compassionate support makes Ashesi a well-rounded institution that cares not just about student success but also about student wellness.

Overall, I highly recommend Ashesi University to anyone considering higher education. Here, you’re not just joining a school; you’re joining a community that supports you holistically, helping you grow academically, personally, and ethically. Ashesi University is great especially because it is a liberal arts school. We are able to learn diverse subjects despite the program you are offering. What I loved the most was the friendliness of the lecturers. We are supposed to call lecturers by their first names hence it creates a cordial relationship between students and lecturers. The environment is also very beautiful and serene which creates a suitable environment for learning.
This university gives every student a voice and encourages students to be entrepreneurs and be the very best at what they do. I would definitely recommend Ashesi University to everyone!

Ashesi is indeed Ghana’s most enviable “Ivy League” university. The school’s system and structure train students to be ready for the international job market. From the onset, students are exposed to international competitions and avenues for growth such as internships in banks outside Ghana among others.

I simply love this place. The teachers are very dedicated and they have given their best to see me pursue this course much later in the future. They see me at the most inconvenient hours and do not stop until I thoroughly understand. I owe them everything.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Ashesi University. One thing that really helped was the location. It was away from all the noise of Accra and so, it was so peaceful! I could be so much more productive

The rich and engaging teaching experience prepares students for the international markets. In addition, the small class sizes coupled with the practical session make it very easy to understand concepts faster and better.
