For my professional reconversion, it was quite natural that I chose ISCOD. Indeed, even if it is a young school, it is an asset in the format it offers: exclusively distance learning.
From my first contact I felt that the follow-up was friendly. Julia, my admissions officer, took great care of our relationship and offered me support adapted to my situation. She supported me until my contract was signed and gave me PE validation.
The goal of my retraining was to resume studies on a work-study basis, to keep one foot in the world of work, and (let’s be honest) keep a source of income!
The content is similar to that of a faculty: courses on important concepts, application exercises and lots of resources made available for personal research. The big advantage of distance learning is to go at your own pace, to do your research when you want and to contact the speakers with rapid feedback (within 24-48 hours) knowing that we have one day of lessons per week. It’s royal to return to your studies after working!
The part that can be more complex to manage is that when you are alone at home, you have to manage to keep the motivation on your own. But once again, ISCOD knows how to support its students. If we observe a drop in motivation, we have an entire teaching team around us with regular, high-quality contacts. There are also Discord groups to participate in, because even if the intakes are every month, we will always find someone in our area doing the same training as us. We are never truly alone!
So if you are still hesitant, I hope that my testimony will help you.
