    Great modern university approach

I am currently a 3rd year student at Forward College and I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to other students. The interactive approach of Forward where questions, debate, and discussion were encouraged enhanced my learning so much and I feel like I genuinely enjoyed every class. Having the experience of living in 3 different cultures, surrounded by people from all over the world made this experience even more special and helped me develop and grow in so many ways. Another aspect I have loved are the professors. Speaking with friends at other university I am so grateful to have teachers that actually know us, are excited to teach and interact with us, and will always take the time to help you.

Overall, they are very interesting people and all ambitious, which creates a very motivating community to be around. Additionally, the small classroom environment allows for closer links between students and professors, creating a sense of community that I really enjoy.

    Unique Academic Journey

Forward College allows me to combine Academic Excellence, Leadership Skills Development with a truly international experience. It allows me to pursue a Bsc in Politics and International Relations of London School of Economics, awarded by the University of London in three European cities: Lisbon, Portugal; Paris, France; Berlin, Germany. In addition, I have the chance to enrich my academic journey with a Certificate in Business and Leadership awarded by Forward College, with which I can prove my practical skills gained from different projects. Having the chance of learning in such international environment, where I can cultivate my practical skills, intercultural understanding and critical thinking is definitely an asset for my professional and personal growth.

Politics and IR with a Double Bachelors

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hi, I’m Madalena, an 18-year-old Portuguese student currently in my first year at Forward College in Lisbon, doing the Politics and International Relations Double Bachelor programme—and I absolutely love it.

What makes Forward so special is how different it feels from any traditional college. The innovative approach, like project-based learning and the focus on leadership and real-world skills, makes me feel like I’m part of something that’s shaping the future of education. Every day on campus, I get this sense that what we’re doing here really matters.

Another thing I love is the people. The students here are incredible—everyone comes from such diverse backgrounds, and some of the things they’ve done before even starting college are just amazing. It’s inspiring to be surrounded by such talented and driven people, and it really creates a great community vibe.

The programme itself is definitely challenging, but it’s so rewarding. I’ve already learned so much and grown a lot, both academically and personally. Plus, the support from the faculty and staff has been fantastic—they’re always there to help when things get tough.

If you’re looking for a college experience that’s different, exciting, and prepares you for more than just a job, I can’t recommend Forward College enough. It’s honestly been a life-changing experience for me so far!

    Innovation and international experience

Forward College is a truly unique experience. I’m a second year student living in Paris and I study Politics and International Relations, and I am working on a Sustainable Fashion entrepreneurial project with the Bachelor’s+ programme this year. Forward College is maaaany things but most of all it’s a personalised and highly diverse experience. Among my cohort of eighty something students I have friends from all over the world – mostly Europe but all continents really – who study different things and in different ways. From Data Science to Psychology, including Economics and Business majors, we constantly mix and match in our classes and often address topics with an interdisciplinary approach. Last year I was in Lisbon, one of the most beautiful and welcoming cities I’ve had the pleasure to live in (mind you I’ve lived in Milan, Amsterdam, Ljubljana and Paris, all stunning places). Now, here in Paris, I’m getting ready to take my UoL exams: our degree is issued by both Forward College and The University of London, with the latter taking care of the academic direction of the modules. While possibly a little long to explain to your grandma, this mix has always gained a wow reaction whenever I mentioned the LSE academic direction, together with living at CIUP in Paris, the three cities and the Business and Leadership entrepreneurial projects, and this richness and variety will be very valuable from an employability perspective. With last year’s exams, I obtained two Top Scored Awards from the EMFSS programme at LSE, and this could not have been possible without the support of truly top level faculty. It has been, so far, a time of incredible growth, exploration and intense exposure to stimuli. My world has, since joining Forward, grown a lot bigger. And there’s nothing like being supported through a challenge that helps you grow your confidence 🙂

    A resilient university

The level of education I’m receiving here is unparalleled – it’s not just about academics, it’s about real-world preparation. The professors are industry experts who don’t just teach theory, but share their own experiences and insights, making complex concepts tangible and applicable. Every class is a simulation of real-life scenarios, where we tackle actual business challenges, develop innovative solutions, and collaborate with peers from diverse backgrounds. Forward College’s focus on experiential learning, entrepreneurship, and emotional intelligence has equipped me with the skills and confidence to navigate the workforce seamlessly. By the time I graduate, I know I’ll be ready to hit the ground running.

  • What is a flipped classroom?

Hello, I am be interested about the teachign methods. What is is a flipped class? How does this work? How is the class organized?

    Written by EDUopinions Community

A flipped classroom basically means you learn the theory before class (videos, readings, short quizzes at home) and then use class time for doing things with it like discussions, problem‑solving, group work, projects etc. At Forward College this fits their active learning style where you’re expected to go through the materials on your own first, sometimes do a small assignment, and then seminars are used to answer tricky questions, debate, work in teams, and apply what you’ve already studied, usually in small groups of about 15 students.
