For Global BBA in Nice you’re in a pretty small cohort, it’s not a massive amphitheatre – think on the order of a few dozen students in your track rather than hundreds, which makes it easy to actually know people and professors. For the Global Business track with UCLA and NUS/NTU, everyone starts together in Nice in 1st year, then you go to UCLA in 2nd year and Singapore in 3rd/4th, so yes: students who will later be at UCLA/NUS also begin in Nice in year one.
