

Finland is highly developed and offers numerous opportunities in the IT sector. I have improved my English skills significantly, especially in technical areas such as accounting and marketing, but overall the experience has been very rewarding and worthwhile.

1. Ice Sculpture Competition every January
2. A trip to Lapland, where you can witness the northern lights, visit Santa Claus’ village in Rovaniemi, and see the Ice Castle in Kemi
3. Get-together weekend— a 2-day trip for exchange students organized by the host university, including parties, free sauna, and outdoor activities
4. Excursions to Nuuksio National Park, both in winter and summer
5. Olympic Games— an annual sports competition by the university
6. Plenty of birthday parties 🙂
7. Trips to Tallinn, Stockholm, and St. Petersburg
8. The Vappu Festival— an annual student celebration in May where the streets of Helsinki come alive
9. Ski jumping competition in Lahti
10. Ice skating, available in almost every part of the city.
