AAU is a cornerstone of Ethiopian academia, but what’s rarely discussed is its Museum of Ethnography, nestled within the campus. As an anthropology student, my first assignment involved cataloging artifacts there—holding centuries-old tribal tools was surreal. Beyond academics, the Sidist Kilo campus feels like a small city. One memory that stands out was a campus protest where students from every faculty united to demand better infrastructure—it wasn’t just activism; it felt like a family demanding change together. The cafeteria culture is also unique; we’d have intense debates over injeralunches
