Masaryk University is a haven for students of the humanities. The Faculty of Arts in Brno is housed in beautiful historic buildings that inspire learning. My history program was a perfect balance of traditional and modern methodologies, with access to digitized archives and engaging seminars. Professors are incredibly supportive and encourage students to think critically. The university places a strong emphasis on internationalization, with plenty of opportunities to study abroad or collaborate with students from around the world. Masaryk’s library is one of the best I’ve ever used, offering cozy study corners and an impressive collection of books. The student support services, like counseling and language courses, were a big help. While the weather in Brno can be gloomy during the winter, the university’s vibrant cultural events and student initiatives always kept my spirits high.
