I’m currently in my third year studying for a BA in Political Science, and my experience has been great so far. Prague is already an amazing city to live in, and studying at AAU makes it even better. The university is located right in the heart of the city, which makes everyday life as a student exciting, convenient, and inspiring.
One of the things I appreciate most about AAU is the small class sizes. This makes lectures more interactive and engaging, and you really get the chance to know your professors. They are approachable, supportive, and genuinely interested in helping students succeed, both academically and personally. The learning environment feels more like a community than a typical large university.
AAU is also a very international school, which is one of its biggest strengths. You meet people from all over the world, learn about different cultures and perspectives, and build friendships and connections that go far beyond the classroom. This diversity makes discussions more interesting and helps you grow both academically and personally.
The programs the university offers are well-structured and flexible. I especially like that you can choose a concentration alongside your major, which allows you to tailor your studies to your interests and future goals. The courses are relevant, thought-provoking, and connected to real-world issues, which makes the program feel practical and meaningful.
View moreI am a master’s student at the Anglo American University studying Master’s in International Relations and Diplomacy. I was struck by the high standard of education that is offered at AAU. The international community is inviting and wholesome; there is always someone available to lend a helping hand and to make you feel included. The campus is located in a beautiful castle with a garden where there are free-roaming peacocks year round. The professors and administration staff go above and beyond to help students connect to the course materials and in assisting with a smooth transition when moving abroad. There is tons of activities happening on campus and off campus from Professors in the Pub, meetings with Ambassadors to different countries like Philippines and Slovakia, as well as 30 different clubs. I would recommend AAU to anyone who is looking for a strong education with a tight knit community of international students. Go Peacocks!
View moreI had 3 wonderful years studying International relations and diplomacy at AAU. They offer a variety of classes, top-notch lecturers, a vibrant social scene for its students, and an intimate relationship between the administration, the faculty and the students. AAU boasts of all the benefits of a private university with smaller classes, the possibility for one-on-ones with the professors, and less bureaucratic red tape. Not to forget its superb location in the center of Prague, and beautiful classrooms. I had a wonderful time there, and can say from the bottom of my heart to anyone else contemplating going there to study: you will not regret it!
View moreStudying at Anglo-American University in Prague was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I studied Marketing and Communications, and what I really appreciated was how much of what we learned could be applied directly to real-life projects.
Thanks to that, I built a strong portfolio already during my studies, which helped me land a job in the industry in my final year of studies. The university also gave me a great network, both professional and personal, and many of my current freelance clients actually came through connections I made there.
If you’re looking for a university where you can gain practical knowledge, contacts and study in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, I’d definitely recommend AAU.
View moreI am currently in my third year at AAU in the Humanities program, and I thoroughly enjoy the education I receive. The classes are capped at 25 students, and all of my professors engage actively with the students. While they may have a different approach, many of them, if not all, will include debates, discussions, student presentations, and group work. The education I have received at AAU will be invaluable towards my professional and personal future.
View moreMy whole experience here has been amazing, i love the professors and the hands on approach they take with their students! the small size of the classes makes it so there is a better relationship with your prof, something that you can’t get at most universities. I recommend everyone goes here and to apply.
View moreAfter coming back from a boarding school in the US, I was recommended AAU for its small class size, international environment, and practical learning. I loved my experience, both undergrad and grad – we were using the same textbooks as top US colleges, the syllabi were interesting, the practical projects cool. I enjoyed getting to know different cultures of my classmates, I loved the intimate atmosphere of small classes. It was a family-like experience. I recommend!
View moreI had the best time during my studies at AAU. I got to meet so many cool people from around the world and felt like I was well-prepared to work after I graduated.
It really was an amazing experience and highly recommend to anyone looking for good quality education and an international environment.
View moreAnglo-American University allowed me to transfer my bachelor studies from my home country to Prague, and it was the best decision I could’ve made. The reason behind this it that, AAU offers each student the opportunity to pursue and break new personal and academic goals. Over the last three years I’ve noticed a personal and professional development in myself that I wouldn’t have been able to reach without AAU.
At AAU you always feel supported by your professors, mentors and administration personnel. Not only that, but also you won’t feel alone at any time since the AAU student community is so vibrant and offers a huge selection of student clubs where you can join and share common interests with other students. AAU prioritizes student community time and safety, which I believe is essential to find your place in a new environment while being honest to your personality and who you truly are.
AAU is in continuous growth, which requires everyone to adjust accordingly, but the beauty behind that is that you’re part of the growth process of an institution that will continue to prove to be the best private university with the best student/campus life in Prague.
Now that I’ve graduated I landed a great job and I keep on setting new goals, which thanks to AAU I know that I have all the necessary tools to keep moving forward and reach new milestones.
Thank you AAU!
View moreI have studied at both public and private universities — VŠE, UNYP, and AAU.
Only AAU made me want to stay and graduate.
For me, AAU was much more than just earning a degree. It was a life-changing experience where I grew into a better person, thanks to the close, supportive connection between students and professors.
I always felt encouraged and intellectually challenged. Everything I learned at AAU translated seamlessly into real-world skills, and I have even been praised in the international television industry for the mindset and communication abilities I honed there.
A Humanities degree will make you resilient and equip you with strong reasoning skills and a research-driven mindset.
I would recommend AAU to anyone who is tired of outdated university traditions and doesn’t want to spend years in soulless institutions, becoming just one among many.
Thank you to all my professors who gave their best to teach us how to think.
