View moreWhen I first moved from my home country Nigeria,to Northern Cyprus for my education in Eastern Mediterranean university ; I expected a “culture Shock” but to my surprise I was met with a moderate level of it.
I blended in nicely and quickly too, the only thing that was an issue was the absence of my traditional palate, other than that the lecturers are nice and alot interactive with their students. The departments/ faculty buildings are up to standard too.
Now if you are a student hoping to attend school ,work and pay your fees then Northern Cyprus is not the place for you, because it’s still an economically developing state Under Turkey hence their being called
( Turkish republic of Northern Cyprus).
My advice would be only go there for school and, travel back home during the holidays if possible.
By the ways I studied public relations and advertising in the communications department, if that’s a course you would be studying you would absolutely love it there.
My time at Eastern Mediterranean University was truly unforgettable. The campus boasted a stunning environment that made studying a delight, particularly during the serene morning hours. The picturesque surroundings and modern facilities created an ideal setting for academic pursuits. However, one aspect that presented a challenge was the language barrier. Despite this hurdle, I found the experience to be enriching, and it taught me valuable lessons in adaptability and communication. Overall, my experience at EMU was a great blend of academic rigor, personal growth, and cultural exposure. I appreciate the university’s commitment to providing a supportive learning environment, and I’m grateful for the friendships and memories forged during my time there. EMU’s unique blend of academic excellence and natural beauty made my stay a truly special experience.
View moreEMU has multicultural diversified individuals pushing academics, sport and leisure in a phenomenal dimension. The surrounding scenery gives one a relaxation feeling, free from stress. The time I pursued my undergraduate Famagusta, Northern Cyprus had nearly no/minimal crime rate. It is a best place to be for studying purposes.
View moreThe school was okay. Also learning was made easy for both English and Turkish citizens. The school was accommodating for Africans too.
It was cost effective, also considerate for students willing to pay per semester
