The opportunity to pursue two degrees simultaneously has been incredibly enriching, both academically and personally.
I’m currently pursuing a double major in Mechanical Engineering (since 2023) and Systems Engineering (since 2024) at Universidad de los Andes. The academic load is intense, and managing both programs requires strong discipline and time management. It can be overwhelming at times, especially with overlapping assignments and projects.
However, I’ve always enjoyed studying and learning, and this double degree has allowed me to grow in different areas, both technical and logical. I truly appreciate the quality of education, the structure of the programs, and the support from professors who understand the rigor of this path. What I find especially inspiring is how every year there are more girls joining both degrees. It’s encouraging to see greater female representation in STEM fields.
If you’re passionate about learning and ready to take on a demanding academic journey, I would definitely recommend this university and the double degree program. It’s a rewarding experience that pushes you beyond your limits and prepares you for diverse professional opportunities.
