When you think about Yorkville University, it may often be accompanied by an image of dollar signs flying before your eyes. While this university is expensive, it is understandable due to its private nature of it. I feel that a lot of people reviewing Yorkville think the cost is unfair (and maybe so) however, they are a private company looking to make the big bucks. Overall, my time in Yorkville’s Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology has taught me valuable lessons: 1) don’t underestimate the amount of information you can essentially teach to yourself 2) be careful to keep track of payments being taken off your credit card, and 3) community is essential. I have enjoyed this program so far, I’m getting good grades, the professors are nice, and the community leans on each other and offers tons of support. I would recommend it only to someone who understands the value of education, and who can adapt and has self-discipline – these are essential components of being a student in Yorkville’s MACP.
