There are a lot of amazing student organizations on campus that genuinely care about creating and improving the student experience that you can get involved with, like the University Student Council or The Western Gazette. The Western administration is probably the biggest con in that they frame themselves as caring about the student experience but their actions often don’t measure up. For example, putting money towards updating or creating new buildings while the amount of student support staff they have isn’t enough for the student body and often results in long wait times for accessing services like academic accommodations.
